Project Overview
VillaSepeti is one of Turkey’s leading villa rental platforms, offering a wide range of vacation homes to travelers.
THE PROBLEM
Villa rental is a high-consideration decision. Users compare dozens of properties across multiple sessions before committing yet most platforms surface listings without adapting to the user's actual needs: group size, budget, location, or property type. The result is decision fatigue, low search confidence, and abandoned booking flows.
On the host side, property owners had no centralized way to monitor listings, track booking status, and understand revenue in one place. Villa Sepeti needed to solve both problems within a single cohesive product.
USERS
Families and couples planning seasonal holidays in Turkey. Booking decisions are emotional and high-stakes they need visual confidence, transparent pricing, and availability certainty before committing to
an inquiry.
Property owners managing 1–5 villas. Typically non-technical. Their daily workflow centers on three questions: who is arriving, what is pending, and how much have I earned this month.
Key Insights
Too many filter options with no hierarchy overwhelm users at the start of search. Progressive disclosure — essential filters first, advanced options revealed on demand reduces early abandonment.
Before price and before reviews, users evaluate visually. The detail page leads with a full-width gallery and surfaces the essential trust signals rating, location, and room features before asking the user to pick dates or take any action.
A settings-first dashboard structure buries the data hosts need daily behind too many taps. The host interface needed to front-load operational status: upcoming bookings, pending requests, monthly revenue.
