Project Overview
Sensat is a second-hand vehicle buying, selling, and rental platform developed by Doğuş Teknoloji one of Turkey's largest technology conglomerates. The mobile application serves both individual and corporate users, enabling them to list vehicles, browse listings, compare options, complete rental transactions, and manage the full purchasing process including ekspertiz (vehicle inspection) reports and insurance.
THE PROBLEM
Second-hand vehicle transactions in Turkey involve significant trust barriers. Buyers worry about hidden damage, inflated prices, and unreliable sellers. Sellers need a platform that makes listing straightforward and reaches serious buyers. Corporate users require a more structured, verifiable process than informal platforms provide.
The design challenge was building a mobile experience that handled the full transaction lifecycle discovery, comparison, listing creation, rental, and purchase while making each step feel transparent, trustworthy, and efficient for both individual and corporate users.
USERS
Individual buyers
Searching for their next vehicle. They compare multiple listings, care about price history, vehicle condition, and inspection reports. Trust signals are critical before they take any action.
Listing their own vehicle. They need a guided, low-friction listing creation flow that helps them present their vehicle accurately without requiring expertise.
Corporate users
Fleet managers and dealerships operating at higher volume. They need structured workflows, reliable data, and professional-grade listing management.
Key Insights
Users don't trust claims — they trust data. The vehicle detail page needed to surface objective information: ekspertiz report results, damage records, vehicle status, and verified specifications rather than relying on seller descriptions alone.
Creating a vehicle listing involves capturing a significant amount of structured data — vehicle type, condition, pricing, communication preferences, photos. A form-dump approach creates abandonment. A step-by-step flow with clear progress indication keeps sellers moving forward without feeling overwhelmed.
In a large vehicle inventory, search alone is insufficient. Users navigate primarily through filtering by price range, vehicle type, year, mileage, location, and features. The filtering system needed to be comprehensive without becoming a barrier to starting a search.
